It started nine months after Executive Chef Ken Harris had his first child Emily. Emily's birth inspired world-class Culinary Institute of America trained Chef Harris to create a healthy, tasty, well-balanced diet for his daughter.
He made all of her food from scratch using natural ingredients.
Overtime, he developed many exciting recipes and menus and brought it to his Chefables team.
We responded with "don't all parents need help creating a well-balanced, tasty, nutritious diet for their growing children?"
We also thought "what about preschools and childcare centers....don't they need help too providing high quality food programs?"
In fact, we made feeding young children our only focus.
We are devoted to feeding children aged 1-5. In our award-winning program, we think about the critical differences feeding the youngest of children. As you would not think of sending a 3 year old to elementary school, you would not feed a 3 year old the same way as you would K-8th graders.
Chefables gets this and operates by this important difference. Children aged 1-5 eat differently and require different food menus, as well as appropriately sized food – which is what we do.
